superjoint_lp3_lp_cover_color_reviewIf you’re gonna roll, you might as well roll big with SUPERJOINT! After an 11-year hiatus, the stringent attack of SUPERJOINT (formerly known as Superjoint Ritual) is back with their  brand new release Caught Up in the Gears of Application via Housecore Records. Resurrected in 2015 after playing a successful show at the Housecore Film Festival in New Orleans, original members Philip H. Anselmo, Jimmy Bower, and Kevin Bond have been joined by drummer José “Blue” Gonzalez and bassist Stephen Taylor, delivering a new, exceptionally explosive aggression throughout 11 blistering tracks.

“The minute we started writing, I knew this record would be brutal,” reflects Bower. “Sticking to our true hardcore roots and signature SUPERJOINT sound, we accomplished a record that needed to happen in today’s underground.”

Brutal, dominant, and soiled in love, Caught Up in the Gears of Application explores how modern technology affects us, whether positively or negatively, incorporating sounds of grinding, spiraling machinery reverberating in a crushing format of destructive outbreaks. SUPERJOINT is back, and so far their November 12th record release party in Dallas is their only US tour stop scheduled for 2016. At least California, Maine, Nevada, Massachusetts are now legal… Where you at Louisiana?! band-pic-dsc_6635

Join us today as we celebrate the release of SUPERJOINT’S new album, Caught Up in the Gears of Application! We’ll be playing a different “Rocking Friday” choice cut at 20 minutes after the hour all day long (unless a UTFH repeat is airing) on 420Radio.org!
